A day at Ebisu will always be a great day, but when you drive up to North Course and see a swarm of 86’s screaming around, you know it’s going to be even better.
The great thing about Ebisu is that if you come during the week, it’s likely you’ll have the track, or entire circuit, all to yourself. This works out perfectly for small car clubs; pay $50 for a day pass, and have an entire track to yourself.
The club ranged from immaculately-clean cars down to practice-style cars with no hatch glass, but that didn’t stop everyone from running aggressive trains.
It was great to see this guys run multi-car trains, but they were even more wild running in smaller groups.
If you’re an 86 fan, like me, then you know how hard it was to for me to stop watching and go drive myself. Luckily, these guys were cool, and didn’t mind running some laps with a big body JZX90. My practice car is just a standard 1JZ motor, and these dudes, with much less power, were right on my door!
I could go on and on, but here are some more of my favorite pics from the day.
At the end of the day – just a bunch of friends enjoying their cars at one of the best places in the world. You couldn’t ask for a better day.
Remember, do what you love, be happy, and surround yourself with people who share your passion.
Take care, guys!
